BLOGMAS DAY 2 | Winter Wardrobe Essentials

Updated: Dec 3, 2022

I’ll be the first - or probably only to admit - that when it comes to my Winter style, it’s always comfort first. Rightfully so this year for me being pregnant again, I’m all about being cozy, comfortable, and warm all while remaining true to my sense of style. I believe that everyones idea of Winter essentials vary obviously because fashion is never one size fits all. Working in the fashion industry and in retail, I’ve come across many people who define style on their own terms.

Being born in cold weather (incase some of you forgot, I was born & raised on the Midwest), my personal idea of Winter style and essentials have definitely changed over the years since moving to the West coast where the weather is more warm. I wouldn’t dare wear a full puffer coat, hat, scarf, and gloves in 60 degree LA weather regardless of what I’m use to wearing.

As I stated earlier in this post, style and essentials are never one size fits all, however these are a few of my picks for my personal Winter wardrobe that I either already own, have been eyeing, or have in my cart and on my wishlist.

MARC JACOBS TERRY TOTE BAG

This one is for sure on my wishlist and had been for minute. The original Tote Bag is darling, but the teddy version is literally perfect for the season and comes in many color options (not pictured: pink).

TOPSHOP KNIT SWEATER

Maybe I’m being biased as a former Nordstrom/Topshop employee, but Topshop sweaters beat any other sweaters out there. This one I’ve been eyeing as well, and I love the neck of it. The style alone is perfect for dressing up or down for the season.

MINIMALIST CHUNKY BOOTS & UGG BAILEY BOW BOOT

You can never go wrong with this type of boot style, no matter what your personal style is. They may be uncomfortable at first wear, but once they’re broken into, it’s easy to fall in love. Definitely wearable with leggings or jeans, a leather jacket, and the Topshop sweater above. Change things up and make your outfit casual by swamping out the chunky boots for cozy Uggs.

CROPPED PUFFER COAT & SINGLE BREASTED TEDDY COAT

I think it’s crucial to have a casual coat and a more formal coat this season depending on the look(s) you’re trying to put out. Both options are perfectly warm, easily versatile, and totally worth the buy.

LEATHER LOOK LEGGINGS & EVERYDAY JEANS

Self explanatory. I’m not a jeans person by any means, but Madewell denim are top tier in the comfort and fit department. A couple of my favorite things about them is that they don’t fade and the quality is superb. They can be pretty costly, but they’re worth the coin. As for leggings, I’m all about leather look over the basic style.

CABLE KNIT BEANIE & SOCKS

Lastly, who doesn’t want to keep their feet and head warm? The most budget friendly items and in my opinion, the MOST essential.

All of these pieces can be found here on my LTK. What are some of your favorite Winter pieces to wear? Do our styles align? What do you have on your wishlist for the season?
